Living The WYSE LYFE

Brief WYSE LYFE backstory:

My name is Robert D. Roberson. I got the idea and zeal to do a website that would not only boldly proclaim the Names of YaHuWaH and YaHuWShuWA, but also help people stay on course as they learn and walk in truth, while also bringing different parts of the body together into fellowship. But, before all of this started to manifest, we lived out a story similar to many believers. My family and I came out of the whore of Babylon (stopped going to church) back in the spring of 2016. We knew fundamental elements of scripture were being manipulated, abused, and used out of context in every church and denomination that we ever attended. My wife and I were searching and praying for the truth of things, and what our next move should be. We knew church was no longer in our future. But we also knew that we should be fellowshipping with others like us because scripture teaches us to do so. We searched Google and YouTube looking for answers. We looked into Torah groups (almost fell into the Torah walk). We watched various videos for all kinds of information. We looked at different religions (not for very long though). One day, I ran across a video featuring Minister Roosevelt Bennett of ShaluwmYaH.com. We watched many of His teachings and learned many things from the teachings of His ministry. We accepted YaHuWaH's Name, as well as YaHuWShuWA's Name at this time, back in 2016. As my wife and I began to grow in the truth, various believers reached out to us in hopes of building relationships with us. A few of those who reached out to us were Jevon Greene of Warriors Of The Ruwach (WOTR), and Michael Rivera of Followers Of The Way (FOTW), among others. I've gained insight, knowledge, and fellowship with them, some of their loved ones, and their ministries. Learning from some of their transparencies, we've reached out to various believers in Mashiyach as well. Some accepting us, some not so much accepting of us, for whatever reasons. One such soul that has received us with love and acceptance is Minister Paul Nwagha. Paul is another believer who has helped us along the way, in understanding of scriptures, prophecies, and more. Going forward, as we continue to walk in Light and grow in Truth, we have hope and anticipation that the entire body will one day come together, whether now, or when YaHuWShuWA unites us in the future.

 

 

Definitions and Explanations

 

   What Is Etymology: Etymology is the study of the origin of words and the way in which their meanings have changed throughout history. By extension, the term "the etymology (of a word)" means the origin of the particular word. The etymology of etymology itself is relatively straightforward. Etymon means "origin of a word" in Latin, and comes from the Greek word etymon, meaning "literal meaning of a word according to its origin." Greek etymon in turn comes from etymos, which means "true". Why is etymology important? One cannot find out the truth of who YaHuWaH and YaHuWShuWA are if they don't search for Them in truth! Some words and things within grammar, as it pertains to scripture, have been misinterpreted, mistranslated, distorted, removed, and/or changed.

   Why Some Of Us No Longer Use Certain Words: Over-standing etymology, many of us no longer use certain words as they pertain to scripture. Most of us now know that there are pagan connections, connotations, and origins surrounding many of the religious words used today. As I look into etymology further, I learn more of which words to, and not to, use when sharing the Good News of Mashiyach. Some words, in origin, are simply inappropriate when concerning the things of The Most High YaHuWaH and His Son YaHuWShuWA. Here is an example list of a few words that some believers no longer use, with the replacement words that I personally use: Holy.....I say Qadash (Paleo Hebrew) or the meaning "set apart or separate" / Spirit.....I say Ruwach (Paleo Hebrew), meaning "breath" or "breath of life" / Glory.....I say Esteem or Splendor / God/Elohim.....I say ALAHIYM (Paleo Hebrew), meaning "Mighty One or Mighty Ones" / Lord.....I say Master / Christ.....I say Mashiyach, meaning "Anointed One" / Bible.....I say Scriptures or Word / Love.....I say Ahab (Hebrew) / Grace.....I say Favor or Honor / Bless.....I say Barak (Paleo Hebrew) Peace.....I say Shaluwm (which is used most often as a greeting, and is also Paleo Hebrew), meaning harmony, prosperity, hello, and goodbye.

   How Do Languages Factor In: Language, according to Merriam Webster, is the words, their pronunciation, and the methods of combining them used and understood by a community. Language, according to Dictionary.com, is a body of words and the systems for their use common to a people who are of the same community or nation, the same geographical area, or the same cultural tradition. Language, as it applies to the truth, is a barrier and restrictive force that can alter what a person perceives truth is. Different languages have different rules of grammar. When it comes to the truth, and the scriptures, and how they apply within languages, one must go back to the source of scripture to determine the meanings that were sought within the translations in those languages. For instance, if there is a scripture written in Spanish, but it originated in German, a person would have to go look at the original German document to make sure the translation was accurate and authentic. That's what we do as believers today, look at scripture in its original forms, and languages, and rightly divide what it all means in its proper context.

   Names: When I was in school as a child in Oklahoma, I remember learning that Proper Names are not to be changed when changing languages. For example, President Barack Obama's name is not a traditional American name. But, it wasn't changed to fit former traditional presidential names. He never will have to change it either. His name is his name. Now, obviously we all didn't learn from the same textbook. There are many different grammar rules within the many different languages on this earth. Yes, we all have a different form of our name in most languages, but our name is our name. For example, if I took a trip to Mexico, Robert does not become Roberto just because I'm in Mexico City. I'm still Robert. The "Mexican" version of my name may be Roberto, but If someone calls me Roberto, I probably won't answer. If I go to the bank in Mexico City, Roberto will not be on my account. I'd have to use my true name to use my bank account. All in all, the different grammar rules in each language across the earth can bring you to this conclusion; there really are no rules. Here's the exception though. We can use common sense and scripture when it comes to YaHuWaH's Name, and His Son YaHuWShuWA's Name. Exodus 3:15 tells us that YaHuWaH's Name is the same to all nations throughout all generations. He called it a "Memorial". Exodus 20:7 states that we should not take His Name in vain. Meaning, we can't just call Him anything, and we can't make His Name out to be worthless or empty. To have a relationship with Him, we must call on Him by Name. And Acts 4:12 says that YaHuWShuWA's Name is the only one whereby a person can be saved. John 3:18 says that a person is codemned if they don't believe in the "Name" of the only begotten Son of YaHuWaH. Meaning, we can't just call Him anything, and we can't use made up or translated names. To have a relationship with Him, we need to call on Him by Name. Plus, we can't come unto the Father, unless we go by way of the Son. Knowing His Name is key. Proverbs 30:4 conveys that They each have one Name. That is five scriptures that solidify that we cannot just call Them whatever, or rename Them even. There are many other scriptures that support what WYSE LYFE thinks about the importance of Their Names. And, common sense tells us that if we don't like people calling us out of our names, then the same probably goes for our Creators. Especially when there are a bunch of scriptures that support Their Names being important.

Translation and Transliteration

Translation: Translation is the process of translating words or text from one language to another. It is an act, process, or instance of translating. Translating is expressing the sense of words or text in another language. To translate is to put into a different language or interpret. Translate comes from the Latin "translates", which means "carry across". When you translate, you are restating words or text from one language to another. When you look into ancient languages and scripts, for us to understand them now, they would have to be translated into modern languages. But, the necessity to remain as accurate as possible within the translations of those ancient languages and scripts, would still be mandatory to gain accurate knowledge and understanding of what is being communicated or said. Therefore, an etymology connection to research the words in those documents would also be necessary. The term "lost in translation" is a real concept when it comes to the many translations of scripture over the course of time.

Transliteration: Transliteration is the process of transferring a word from the alphabet of one language to another. Transliteration helps people pronounce words and names in foreign languages. To transliterate, is to change letters, words, sentences, etc. into corresponding characters of another alphabet or language. Transliterate is coined from Latin, "trans" = "across" + "littera" = "letter, character". When you transliterate, you are simply writing words or letters into the letters or characters of another alphabet. Therefore, transliteration is the changing of a word or letter into the "corresponding", "similar sounding" word or letter in another language. When transliteration occurs, its job is to make the word or name stay as close to its original sound and pronunciation as possible.

So why is it important to know what translation and transliteration are? It is important to know because they are two words that are different, and they play two different roles when it comes to language, etymology, and the interpretations we get from ancient historical documents, especially those pertaining to YaHuWaH and YaHuWShuWA. A translation tells you the meaning of words in another language. A transliteration will not tell you the meaning of words, but it instead helps you pronounce them. How does that apply to us with The Names of Abba YaHuWaH and The Master YaHuWShuWA? Well, when the original documents that bare record of their true Names were translated, The Names were translated along with all the other common words, letters, and phrases involved in those documents. Names are not to be translated, but transliterated. For example, in the case of the name Jesus, It was actually transliterated from Hebrew to Greek. But, the Greek transliteration of Jesus was first the name "IESOUS". "JESUS" is the English/Latin equivilant of the Greek "IESOUS". Research the 1611 King James Version bible. The name "Jesus" is not in that bible. William Tyndale published bibles in the 1500's. The name "Jesus" was not used in his bibles either. Long story short, years later the letter "J" is introduced into the KJV version of the bible (I don't know by who, how, or why), and the "I" was replaced with the "J", the "O" in "SOUS" was removed, and now approximately 500 or so years later we stand here with "Jesus" being the inaccurate name of the Mashiyach (Messiah). That name is called on by billions of people around the world. All that was stated to pin this statement: If there is only one name that a person can be saved under according to Acts 4:12, is "Jesus" that name? WYSE LYFE is here to proclaim the answer "NO" to that question. WYSE LYFE believes that YaHuWShuWA is the only Name under heaven that can save a person from their sins!

YaHuWaH and YaHuWShuWA are the true Names of The Most High and His Son, The Anointed One (Mashiyach). There is plenty of information in the videos on this website about Their Names. And, YaHuWShuWA HaMashiyach is the only Name a person is commanded to believe in by The Most High YaHuWaH ALmighty (1 John 3:23)!
